Set-up

The rear panel of the PowerMatch Dante Cards, EX Processors and PowerSahre-Dante amplifiers include two Dante network ports (Primary and Secondary), which provide input and output channels of low-latency digital audio using Dante audio networking technology. Depending on the device, these ports can be configured for switched (default), redundant, isolated or legacy (filtered) network connections using Dante Controller by Audinate.

Modes

Switched (default setting)

In Switched mode, both ports are used as a switch and are in the same subnet. Both ports handle Dante audio and ControlSpace including control. The usual use is daisy chaining multiple devices without any network switch.

NOTE: don't forget, that every hop adds 0.1 ms latency to your  Dante audio network.

Redundant

Redundant mode allows you to set-up two independent Dante audio networks. If the primary network fails, the device switches (glitch free) to the secondary network.
Both ports handle Dante audio, only the primary port has access to ControlSpace including control. Both Ports are in different subnets and must be physically or virtually separated.

Isolated

Isolated mode supports two separated subnets. A dedicated subnet for Dante and a second, dedicated subnet for ControlSpace and control (e.g. Crestron, AMX, Extron).

Legacy

In legacy mode two ports of the device operate in the same subnet. The primary port delivers Dante audio, ControlSpace and control. The secondary Port delivers filtered (no Dante or Multicast audio) ControlSpace and control.
